Nearing the end of mine and connect deeply with the creative reset, aside from finding a love for writing and music it gave me enough space to deeply reconnect with how to spend my time more wisely, enjoy the 'break' and see what comes next
A great idea and worth it to take a break to recharge and replenish. The Bible is full of great practical advice. I enjoy your more personal posts too and don't think this post is boring (as you say in the text) at all. I think a lot of readers like a more informal, personal approach. The academic articles are great but I prefer your more personal, blog-like, unpolished scribbles best. Good job the past few years. Enjoy your sabbatical and best wishes for the year ahead!
Oh it'll definitely be a mix of personal stuff together with more careful essays! In fact now that I'm liberated from the weekly schedule it might be easier to just write short posts in 1 hr and send them to the world

Can be a good idea to free oneself from schedules. That feeling of freedom is worth its weight in happiness and relaxation, and from those things, anything can be built. Anything the mind can think of in its now vast space of opportunities, never limited, never needing to conform to anything.
Excellent! That's an incredible streak of output. Enjoy the recharge time and we'll look forward to more in the future. 🙏🏼
Hear hear!
This is one of my faves, will miss your unique content! Excited for recharged ideas from you in future :)

Love this and the new name makes me think of the Chuck Palanhiuk’s book Invisible Monsters, which I also love.
I once did a sabbatical from my job in order to get a masters and it was SO glorious.
I think you have made right decisions. Congratsl. I am looking forward for the new season of Hopeful monster.
Bonne jachère! 🌱 pour continuer dans les analogies agricoles
Quality of your atlas was always high in my unworthy eyes. Hopefully, the new monsters will not become too rare creatures. Bon chance!

A good plan, although we'll miss your unique voice around here! Very best wishes.
