"Activating paid subscription is a signal to myself that I should consider my writing as valuable, and price it accordingly."
Your writing *is* valuable--I've enjoyed everything I've read by you. A new email from you is always a delight. As someone who cannot currently support any of the wonderful people I follow, I want to thank you for not putting anything behind a payewall--even though your content is good enough to warrant monetary compensation. Until I can chip in, I will share the newsletter as widely as I can.
Thank you for your work. It is wonderful. May the Muse be always in your favor!
Writers put their heart and soul into their work. Note the word work. Your time and effort should be rewarded. I've lost count on how many hours I spend on my novels and newsletters. The only awkwardness is asking for reward when nothing is done to earn it.
You’re a great writer, that’s value enough for your work! (she says while trying to remind herself the same thing....)

Congrats on 1,000 subscribers! And I love this post and the image of the plate money.
