I have confidence in your ability to find musical pieces that go well with your text. I think your knowledge of music is way above average and you could broaden the horizons of people who, like me, know nothing about music.
Lovely observations, thank you. I'd only add that my favourite part of the ancient remains in central Athens is the Kerameikos, with the old tombs surmounted by statues, among the olives and figs. It's peaceful but far from dull. And when I was in far Tromsø, in the Arctic Circle, a visit to the cemetery on my final morning was soothing and companionable.
